How big is it, and how strong?
Smaller than a wallet when folded and lighter than an apple. Tested to support 10kg. We strongly advise only using it to carry one helmet at a time, and only off the bike.

Can I wear it on my belt?
Yes, it's designed to loop over a belt. It also folds into a pocket.

How do I fit it?
Guide the wire through the chin bar, or the chin strap on an open face. Then loop the T-bar through the eyelet, making sure it's fully through.

The wire is sticking. What do I do?
Pull the wire fully out ten times, both hands, steady pace. That frees it.

Will the cable scratch my helmet or wear the seals?
The steel cable is coated in anti-scratch plastic and bound tight underneath, testing hasn't shown any wear. If you'd rather the cable never touched the shell, just run it through the chin strap for peace of mind.

The price
Premium full-grain vegetable-tanned leather, cut, stitched and finished by hand on one bench in England. It starts at £59.99 before local taxes and duties, and costs a fraction of the helmet it carries.

Isn't that a lot for a strap?
Small doesn't mean cheap to make. You're paying for premium leather, hours of skilled work and a protected design nobody else makes, plus an item that provides massive convenience.

Why is it stiff when new?
It's full-grain vegetable-tanned leather, and it starts stiff. Use it and it moulds to you with age.

How do I look after it?
Keep it out of the rain when you can, and wipe it dry with a cloth. Buff it with leather balm when it looks thirsty, which is rarely.

The leather has marks. Is that a flaw?
No. It's natural hide, so scuffs, grain marks and healed scars stay, and that's leather doing what leather does.

Is every one exactly the same?
No. Every Lidrig is made by hand, so expect small quirks like a touch of overlapping edge paint, a stitch a hair off, or thread running close to an edge. None of it affects strength. It's just what handmade looks like, and it makes yours one of a kind.

What's the white around the bends?
That's the beeswax top coat moving as the leather flexes, a sign it's protecting the edges. Wipe it away, nothing to worry about.

When will my order ship?
24 hours after you order. Once made, every Lidrig gets a final coat of duck wax and beeswax for extra protection, and that needs time to dry before shipping.

Do you ship at weekends?
Orders placed after 6 p.m. on a Friday go out on Monday.

How long will delivery take?
It depends on where you are. Generally 2-3 days in the UK, 5-7 days to the EU, and 7-10 days for the rest of the world.

Do you ship internationally?
Yes, and I'm adding new locations as I go. If yours isn't available yet, email or DM and I'll let you know.

What's your returns policy?
You have 14 days from receipt to return it, unused.
